What do we do?

St Davids Foundation

St. David’s Foundation Hospice care is all about renewing hope – hope that following a diagnosis of cancer or any other life-threatening illness, both patient and family can live each day to the full.

We have been providing community-based hospice care for people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, and their families, since 1979. Our service has been provided in Newport, Torfaen, Caerphilly and Monmouthshire for over 29 years.

Last year we cared for over 2,400 patients facing a life-threatening illness, and their families and carers. At any one time our nurses are caring for over 900 patients. It costs St. David's Foundation £4.1 million per annum to provide our services, which are free of charge to our patients.
