News :: Presentation for The Smiles Foundation

Family Mission Trips to Romania prompted Bob Shepherd to forego his business talk slot at ABC on the 21st May 2009 for a slide show on their adventures. The sometimes shocking and sometimes moving images were supported by a commentary from Linda Shepherd. Her particular focus having been a teacher herself is to raise £1000 for The Smiles Foundation to buy books for their school in Romania which caters for Romanian and Gypsy children and offers them an education they would never get near otherwise as well as a square meal and a shower. This is one small initiative amongst some fantastic achievements over the last 10 years which have demonstrably made a difference. Every penny is used for the good of the poor (and they are really poor) with the Foundation's running costs being covered by Gift Aid top up schemes.  Any help - email Bob or catch up at the next ABC
